Quadblogging-Our turn is coming up!

It is just about our turn to be the focus class for our quadblogging group. This is the week quadblogging gets really exciting! We have a responsibility to make frequent and interesting posts on our learning for the other classes to comment on. Just as they have a responsibility to provide us with some comments.
As we look to our week I want you to think about what you want to get out of quadblogging.Would you just like any comment back or would you like feedback on how to improve your learning? Maybe with some questions to start a conversation? Would you like to teach our buddy classes anything through our posts? What would you like to make posts about? Would you like them to comment just on our class blog or your individual blogs as well? Would you like to know who is commenting back to you with their name and school that they are from?

If their blog url is Room 10 St Clair how could you find out where St Clair primary is in NZ?
Can you name one of the students in their class?

Quadblogging Week 2

This week it is Keeping Up with Room 16's turn to be the focus group for quadblogging.

Can you find the answers to these questions and leave a comment with the answers?
What school are they from?
What Year level is their class?
What could we do with this class that we couldn't with the other two?

You will find the answers to the first two questions on their blog and once you know these answers you should be able to answer the third.

Check out their blog on
http://keepingupwithroom16.blogspot.co.nz/

Also I would like to know...
What have you enjoyed about quad blogging so far? How has it helped you with your learning? Why do you think it is important that we make quality comments? Add your thoughts to the wallwisher/padlet.

Quadblogging

Next week we start our quadblogging journey for 2014.
Quad means four. So can you guess how many classes will be blogging together?
During quadblogging classes take turns to be the focus school for a week. During that week it is our job to leave them comments and start a conversation with them to find out more about their learning. Then when it is our turn to be the focus class we can be surprised and excited by all the comments we get about our learning.

Our first class are Room 8 from Matarau School.

Can you find out where Matarau School is? (Clue: It is in New Zealand)
What part of New Zealand would we find their school? (Eg: Bottom of the South Island).
Can you find out what Year level their class is?

You might like to check out their blog to see if you can find the answer to these three questions and leave your answers as a comment.

Then think about;
What questions have you got for Room 8?
Think about starting a conversation with them about their learning. What could we ask them? What would you like to learn more about after looking on their blog?

Add your thoughts to the Wallwisher/Padlet.

Quadblogging

Yay! We have started our quadblogging journey. To find out more about quadblogging check out this video.

We are all super excited to be part of it with schools from Canada, Scotland and the United States of America. We are excited because it means that we will get to comment on other people's blogs on the other side of the world and it also means that we will get some comments back on our blog from them when it is our turn.
Everyone's schools look so different! Maybe because we are so spread out around the world?
