We have been introduced to this big word called 'INTERDEPENDENCE.'
We have had a discussion around trying to figure out what this word might mean.
We know that being dependent is when we need others to do things for us that we can't do. We know that being independent is when we can do something for ourselves and we don't need help from others.
So what does it mean to be inTERdependent?
Here's a video to help explain.
If is quite amazing how so many simple, but quite different items, are related to eachother. I wonder what would happen if one of those things were unavailible. If we were not to have wheat what would be the effect to all of us or is there was no petrol for the tractor or the truck?

Mr Dyer
To Mr Dyer,
DeleteThank you for commenting on our blog. We love it when we get comments from other schools because we know that our blog is being read by people outside of our school.
We watched the movie on Interdependence and we learnt that the big words means things have to work together to make the biggest difference.
We saw that the different things in the movie had to work together because if there weren't enough trucks we wouldn't get our bread delivered to our supermarkets. Or if the farmer didn't grow wheat we wouldn't get enough flour to make bread.
What school do you come from? Maybe we could comment on your class blog.
