We are a class of year 3 and 4 children at Vardon School in Hamilton. The purpose of this blog is to share what we are learning with others. Click into our individual blogs to see samples of our work and reflections of what we did well and what we can improve on.
My classroom are learning about healthy breakfasts and I learned that you can have any breakfast but it has to have fruit or you can just have normal healthy cereal.
Dear Room 11 I like breakfast! It is my favourite meal of the day. I really like to have a cooked breakfast - but it takes too long, and is only a “sometimes” breakfast, so I just have that on a Sunday. On a school day, I usually eat cereal. Mainly muesli - but not toasted muesli (that’s yukky) because I don't like it too crunchy! I always add fruit or yogurt to it, with a little bit of milk too. Yum! What do you add to your breakfast that makes it really healthy?
Hi Room 11. You have learnt a lot about healthy eating. Room 10 kids are trying hard to eat a rainbow meal for their dinner. Do you remember waht you need to have to make a rainbow meal?
I found your spelling mistake Mrs Williamson it was 'what' but you spelt it this way waht. You have to have different colours on your plate to make a rainbow meal. Think of different foods like vegetables to put colour on your plate this makes a rainbow meal.
I have toast most mornings as well La Eeqah. I like to have plum jam, but sometimes I have vegemite for a change. I have decided to drink lots more water (starting at breakfast time) because Mrs Paton told me it would be healthier for my body. Miss Ladd was asking me the other day how you are. I told her you had shorter hair now and she didn't believe me. I might tell her to have a look at your blog!! Keep up the great learning!
What is your favourite start to the day La-Eeqah? What cereals do you like to have and can you add anything to your breakfast cereals???

I like to have breakfast every morning. My favorite breakfast is toast. I add some peanut butter and strawberry jam to make it tasty.
