Waitomo Caves

Yesterday Room 9 went to Waitomo Caves with the rest of the Middle Team we had lots of fun exploring the cave, going to the Discovery Centre and Musuem and then going on the Ruakuri Bushwalk where we went through broken down caves and even saw people Black Water Rafting.

Room 11 and the Middle Syndicate visited the Glow-worm Cave in Waitomo on Tuesday we then headed to the discovery centre and onto the Ruakaui bush walk. We had a great day seeing all of these amazing parts of New Zealand with our own eyes. Coming out of the Glow-worm Cave we took a boat trip seeing loads of glow-worms. Did you know that glow-worms can only be found in New Zealand and four states in Australia?

Waitomo tour

On Tuesday we were lucky enough to tour through the ancient Waitomo Caves. Check out this video to remind yourself of what you saw and then have a go at answering these questions.
