Wrap Free Wednesday

This week we had just under 50% of our class wrap free for Wrap Free Wednesday. Unfortunately there were a few of us who lots of wrappers in our lunchbox which meant the total number of wraps was high again. Next week we want to try really hard to get half of our class wrap free and the other half with three or less wrappers in their lunchboxes.

Wrap Free Wednesday

This week we unfortunately went backwards. We increased our number of wraps by three and we didn't have quite as many people wrap free. Last week we had 48% and were excited that we were close to 50% unfortunately we didn't reach this goal and we only had 43% wrap free. But next week is another chance for us to improve and remember our wrap free lunchboxes.

Wrap Free Wednesday

Wow, we made great progress with our goal of going wrap free on Wednesdays this week. Last week we had 29% of our class wrap free and 39 wrappers. This week we reduced the number of wraps by five and we increased the number of wrap free lunchboxes to 48%. We had three people in class that had only one wrap and we worked out that if these people try really hard to be wrap free next week we will have over 50% of our class wrap free.

PS: Last week Cloe left a message on our Wrap Free Wednesday post saying I wonder how many times the wrap free people can stay wrap free. Well four out of the six people who were wrap free last week were able to stay wrap free this week.

Wrap Free Wednesday

We are an Enviro School and every Wednesday we have a whole school challenge to see which class can bring the least number of wraps to school. We look inside the lunchboxes and tally up how many wrappers we have as a class and how many are completely wrap free then we can work out the percentage of wrap free lunch boxes in our class.

Today was the first challenge back for 2014 so we have got some work to do to remember to reduce the number of wraps we bring. We looked at the lunch boxes that were wrap free and could see that they used snap lock bags to keep their sandwiches safe from any leakages and instead of using gladwrap because we can reuse the snap lock bags.
We hope that next week we can improve our score and have more wrap free lunch boxes and less wraps in total.

No Wrap Wednesday

We had 44% of our class wrap free today with eight wrap free lunchboxes.
Well done to those who are thinking of ways to keep our environment nice and clean and free from lots of plastic.
I wonder how the rest of us could make wrap free choices on Wednesday mornings?

Wrap Free Wednesday

Wow! Today we had 11 people with totally wrap free lunchboxes we couldn't believe it!
We went from having seven wrap free lunchboxes last week to 11 this week that is 4 more than our previous record and now we are into double digits.
11 out of 20 students meant that we had 55% of our class wrap free. We set ourselves a target to see if we could reach 13 next week.

Wrap Free Wednesday

Yay today we had seven wrap free lunchboxes much more than our four last week. Plus we had a few lunchboxes that were very close to being wrap free with only one or two wraps.
I wonder who will have a wrap free lunchbox next Wednesday?
Will we be able to get 10 wrap free lunchboxes next week?

Wrap Free Wednesday

At school we are trying to reduce our waste to look after the environment. On Wednesday's we have to try hard to think of foods to pack in our lunchboxes that don't have wrappers.
We can use snaplock bags if we reuse them so having our sandwiches or fruit in bags is a great way to bring them.
Last week we had seven people with wrap free lunchboxes this week we sadly only had four. So as a class we have set the goal to have eight wrap free lunchboxes for next week.
Well done to Kaylee, Oliver, Kayley and Gina who were wrap free this week.
